Transgender Coloradans

N.GarciaTransgender Coloradans face unique challenges. Widespread discrimination and unemployment, homelessness, and violence are just some of the issues transgender people face on a daily basis.

One Colorado is devoted to ending discrimination and violence against transgender Coloradans through education and advocacy on state and local issues of importance to transgender people.

In recent years in Colorado, there have been gains advancing equality for transgender people. Perhaps most significant is the inclusion of transgender protections in Colorado’s anti-discrimination laws protect based on gender identity in employment, housing, and public accommodation.

One Colorado, through the help and support of our community partners, is committed to advancing equality for transgender Coloradans.

By continuing to educate friends, neighbors and policy makers, we can ensure that all Coloradans, including transgender individuals, can live openly without fear of abuse or discrimination. Together, we will build a more fair and just state for all Coloradans.
