The stories and contributions of Black LGBTQ people often go unheard and unseen. But we believe that exploring the intersections of these identities is necessary to advancing our movements towards justice.
That’s why, at One Colorado, we’re committed to learning from Black LGBTQ people who have been at the forefront of both the civil rights and LGBTQ rights movements for decades.
In an effort to elevate the visibility of our collective history, we’re collecting stories from Black LGBTQ people to feature on the “Our Stories” section of our website. It’s vital that we increase the number of Black LGBTQ voices and stories on our site, but we need your help to do so.
If you’d like to share your story, please e-mail Jess at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we’ll set up an interview and work together to craft your unique story. We’re looking forward to hearing about your experiences of coming out, living proud, making a difference, and advancing justice!
