Jessie Pocock is the Southern Colorado Field Organizer, leading the organization’s coalition building and grassroots organizing work in Colorado Springs and Pueblo.
Prior to joining One Colorado, Jessie served as a Development Officer for Pikes Peak United Way. She was also the Development and Program Director for the Club of Arts, an organization serving people with all abilities through artistic education and expression.
Jessie grew up in Colorado Springs and is deeply committed to advancing equality, justice, and inclusion in the region. She graduated from Colorado College with a BA in Sociology and currently serves on the Colorado College Public Interest Fellowship advisory board.
Jessie is currently attending UCCS and working towards her Master’s degree. She is especially interested in queer theory, LGBT studies, class and race inequality. She serves on the community advisory board for the Matrix Center for the Advancement of Social Equity and Inclusion and is the Assistant to the Editor for the online journal Understanding & Dismantling Privilege.
In Jessie’s spare time, she enjoys instructing and practicing yoga, spending time with her family, and building her real estate investment business.
