One Colorado’s Statement on Potential Anti-LGBTQ+ Ballot Measure

Denver, CO - One Colorado released the following statement in response to Colorado Republican leaders forming a committee to introduce a 2024 ballot measure aimed at banning gender-affirming care for youth.

“One Colorado strongly opposes this proposed measure as it would take life-saving medical care away from transgender kids,” said Nadine Bridges, MSW (she, her, hers), One Colorado Executive Director. “Colorado is better than this. Transgender youth should not be used for political gain or feeble attempts to seek attention, and we are confident voters will reject this cynical proposal if it even makes it to the ballot.”

The registered agent for the committee, called “Let Kids Be Kids”,  is GOP Chairman, Dave Williams, and the designated filing agent is Colorado Republican Party Treasurer, Tom Bjorklund.
