John Swartout, Ken Buck’s former Campaign Manager, comes out in favor of civil unions

During his time running Ken Buck’s campaign against U.S. Senator Michael Bennet, John Swartout watched as one Sunday morning on Meet the Press, Buck explained his opposition to equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people, claiming that being gay is a choice and comparing being gay to alcoholism.

OC & CIRC Now Hiring Two Alliance Building Organizers

One Colorado Education Fund (OCEF) and Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC) have entered into a joint project to increase reciprocal support, awareness and activism among the LGBT and immigrant rights communities in Colorado. OCEF and CIRC will work in partnership on an LGBT-immigration project to educate and mobilize our respective bases of support around the priority issues for each organization.

The National Day of Silence, sponsored by GLSEN, is a day of action in which students across the country take a vow of silence to call attention to the silencing effect of anti-LGBT bullying in schools. One Colorado is proud to support this important event right here in Colorado where, sadly, anti-LGBT harassment is alive and well in schools.
