One Colorado denounces the four attempts by Reps. Stephanie Luck (R-60), Ken DeGraaf (R-22), Scott Bottoms (R-15), Brandi Bradley (R-39) to amend the ERA resolution by perpetuating false narratives that use the veil of “equal rights” to justify discrimination and transphobia, which contributes to the disparaging rhetoric that has distinct and harmful impacts on the trans community.

Anti-Transgender Legislation Introduced in Colorado

On Monday, the Colorado General Assembly introduced HB23-1098, “Women's Rights In Athletics” in the House of Representatives. One Colorado strongly opposes this anti-transgender bill. The bill requires all school-sponsored teams, sports, and events, including collegiate activities, to be categorized as male, female or coed, and limits participation based on a student’s sex assigned at birth.

Club Q, One Colorado, GLAAD Statements on Formal Charges Filed Against Club Q Shooting Suspect

Today Colorado Springs police charged the suspect in last month’s mass shooting at Club Q with 305 criminal counts, including first-degree murder, attempted murder, and bias-motivated crimes. The shooting left five people dead and injured approximately 20 others.
